Liquidations

Perp liquidation volume over time, split into longs and shorts forced out. One side stacking bar after bar is a cascade; a single spike is not.

LIQLIQSLIQUIDATIONSCrypto perps. BTC, ETH, SOL and HYPE use the cross-venue perp aggregate at intraday bar sizes; other coins in the catalog show daily Binance data. LIQ CRYPTO covers about 200 perps through SCREEN.

LIQ command showing BTC short liquidations above zero and long liquidations below

Typing it

LIQSymbolhours=
>LIQBTC hours=720
Shows BTC long and short liquidations over the last 30 days.

What you see

  • Total. Shorts liquidated above zero in green, longs below in red. The default view.
  • Buy and Sell. Only buy-side (shorts forced out) or only sell-side (longs forced out).
  • Strip. Totals for shorts and longs liquidated in the window.

What to look for

  • Cascades: one side stacking up over several bars in a row, not a single spike.

Arguments

hours=
How far back, in hours (default 168, one week).
LIQ CRYPTO
Opens SCREEN ranked by liquidations across the universe. UNIVERSE and ALL work too.

Good to know

  • Sparse by design: a bucket with no liquidations has no bar. A gap means quiet, not missing data.

Questions

Which side is a buy liquidation?

A short being forced out. The exchange buys to close it, so short liquidations are buys and long liquidations are sells.

How do I see liquidations for every coin?

Type LIQ CRYPTO. It opens SCREEN ranked by liquidations.
